Lesson 08 Anchoring

Is there a food that you particularly like to eat which reminds you of when you were a kid?
Is there one particular song that seems to trigger the same emotion every time you listen to it?
Have you ever had someone look at you a certain way and it triggered an emotional response?
All these are ANCHORS.
Anchoring is a process of stimulus-response, i.e. a certain stimulus (visual, auditory, kinesthetic, or even olfactory or gustatory) produces a certain response. (By the way, you now understand why we spent some time on modalities).
How is that useful, and why would you even want to lift your little finger to click on the link to the video below?
Well…
Would you like to know exactly how to get into the state you need when you need at the click of a finger?
Say, you have to present in front of 300 people and you have stage fright, would you like to become completely confident? Or how about being able to remain completely calm when  dealing with a difficult customer (or a partner/child)?
Basic Anchoring: the 4 steps and the 5 keys that will make anchoring work EVERYTIME. (password: anchoring1)
Watch this first. In the next topic, we’ll look at what to do with anchors you want to get rid of (yes! we have plenty of negative anchors as well!)
